Levoy Exil was born on December 7, 1944 in Soisson La Montagne, a town in Pétion Ville, Haiti where he first worked as a farmer. In 1970, he met Jean Claude Garoute (TIGA) who founded the Saint Soleil group in his native village. Levoy was part of this movement with Louisiana Saint Fleurant, Antilhomme, & Prosper Pierre Louis. After the fall of Saint Soleil, he created the Cinq Soleil group. He exhibits in more than sixty countries including the United States, Haiti, Japan, France, Germany, Romania, Canada, England, Italy. At the Salon of Plastic Arts in La Rochelle, he received the Millennium Medal.
